About WoodTech Istanbul

WoodTech Istanbul is an international trade fair for woodworking machinery and furniture production technologies. According to the organiser, it is organised by RX Tüyap (Reed Tüyap Fuarcılık A.Ş.) in cooperation with AİMSAD, the Turkish Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association, with the support of EUMABOIS, the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers. It takes place at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul.

The organiser's website and Tüyap's fair page announce the next edition for 22–25 October 2026, with opening hours of 10:00–18:00 from 22 to 24 October and 10:00–17:00 on 25 October. ExpoMatch has not independently verified these dates, so please confirm them on the official website. With the fair only days away on the date of this review, stand projects for this edition should already be in production; if you are planning a first participation, consider the following edition once it is announced.

Product groups and exhibitor profile

According to the organiser, the fair covers, among others:

  • Forestry, log and sawmill machinery
  • Woodworking machinery for panel processing and solid wood — sawing, edge banding, CNC machining, boring and tenoning
  • Surface treatment and finishing technologies
  • Packaging and conveyor systems
  • Cutting tools and clamping or holding equipment
  • Drying kilns, dust collection and extraction systems
  • Industrial software for furniture and wood production

Exhibitors are mainly machinery manufacturers and distributors; visitors come largely from furniture, joinery and wood-products manufacturing. Product groups and hall plans can change, so check the current list on the official website.

Exhibition Stand Planning for WoodTech Istanbul

Most WoodTech stands are machinery showrooms: CNC machining centres, edge banders, panel saws or finishing lines, often running and processing real boards. The points below are practical guidance, not rules of the organiser. We did not find published stand-construction rules on the official websites; check the organiser's exhibitor and technical manual (Tüyap's Technical Office) for build-up times, height limits and approval requirements.

Machine layout and visitor flow

Start the design from the machine layout: which machines run, which are static, and how visitors move between them. Leave space around each machine for the operator, for loading boards and for groups watching a demonstration. Walls and branding then frame the machines rather than compete with them.

Heavy machinery, delivery and positioning

Woodworking machines are heavy and long — a panel saw or edge bander can take several metres of floor. Give your stand builder the footprint, weight and delivery method for each machine. Machines are usually positioned first and the stand is built around them, so the build-up plan has to follow the machine delivery schedule set by the organiser.

Dust extraction and live cutting

Cutting, routing and sanding produce dust and chips. If machines will process wood live, plan mobile extraction units, where they stand and how waste is collected each day, and ask the organiser what is required for live machining in the hall.

Power and compressed air

CNC machines, edge banders and extraction units need three-phase power and often compressed air. Connections are ordered through the organiser or venue with deadlines. Provide a connection list per machine (kW, voltage, air pressure and flow) and agree with your stand builder who orders which connection.

Noise and demonstration schedule

Running woodworking machines are loud. A demonstration timetable, a presenter with a headset microphone and a quieter meeting area away from the machines make it easier to hold sales conversations on the same stand.

Material stock and finished samples

Live demos need a stock of boards, edge band and consumables, plus somewhere to put finished parts. Plan lockable storage and a display for sample parts, so visitors can see and touch the results of the process.

Software and automation stations

Nesting, CAD/CAM and production-planning software are a growing part of the fair. Workstations with large screens, seating and reliable internet let you demonstrate software alongside the machines.

What to Include in Your Stand Brief for a Woodworking Machinery Stand

A stand builder needs to know what will stand and run on the stand. Include as much of the following as you can:

  • Hall, stand number, exact dimensions and number of open sides
  • Machine list: model, footprint, height, weight and whether it will run
  • Power (kW, three-phase) and compressed air per machine
  • Dust extraction units and waste collection
  • Delivery and positioning method for each machine (forklift, crane, rollers)
  • Board stock, consumables storage and finished-sample displays
  • Meeting area, software workstations, reception counter and kitchenette
  • Screens, lighting and brand graphics
  • Budget range, and whether design is needed or only production
  • Deadlines: design approval, technical service orders, machine delivery and build-up

How to Choose a Stand Builder for WoodTech Istanbul

Machinery stands need a builder who plans around large exhibits and works closely with your technicians. Compare stand builders on:

  • Experience with machinery stands, ideally woodworking or metalworking fairs
  • Experience at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center
  • In-house production and crew versus subcontracting
  • How they coordinate build-up with machine deliveries, rigging and technicians
  • Who prepares drawings and handles approvals with the organiser
  • References and photos of comparable stands

What is included — and what is not

Check each quote for:

  • Design, 3D visuals and revision rounds
  • Construction, flooring and cable or hose ducts for machines
  • Barriers or marked safety zones around running machines
  • Meeting area, storage and sample displays
  • Graphics, screens and lighting
  • Electrical installation on the stand
  • Transport, build-up and dismantling crew
  • Items usually ordered separately, such as main power and compressed-air connections, extraction units, forklifts, cleaning and waste removal
  • Payment terms, insurance and reuse of stand elements

How ExpoMatch Helps

ExpoMatch is an independent B2B platform for finding exhibition stand builders and requesting quotes. It is not a stand builder, an event agency or the organiser of WoodTech Istanbul, and it is not affiliated with RX Tüyap or AİMSAD.

You describe your stand project once in a quote request, including the machines you plan to show. Our team reviews the brief, contacts you if anything needs clarifying and shares it with stand builders suited to the fair, your stand size and your budget. Interested stand builders prepare their own proposals and contact you directly, and you choose whom to work with. We can't guarantee a specific number of quotes, and proposals are prepared individually, not generated automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is the next WoodTech Istanbul?

The organiser's website announces the next edition for 22–25 October 2026 at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. ExpoMatch has not verified these dates — please confirm them on the official website.

Who organises WoodTech Istanbul?

According to the official website, the fair is organised by RX Tüyap in cooperation with AİMSAD and with the support of EUMABOIS. ExpoMatch is independent and not affiliated with any of them.

Can machines cut wood live on my stand?

Live machining is a central part of many WoodTech stands, but dust extraction, power, compressed air and safety zones have to be planned. Check the organiser's exhibitor and technical manual for requirements and order technical connections before the deadline.

How much space do I need around a running machine?

Enough for the operator, for loading and unloading boards and for a group of visitors to watch from a safe distance. Long machines such as edge banders or panel saws need clear space at both ends; your stand builder can propose a layout once you share the machine list.

Is it too late to plan a stand for the October 2026 edition?

With only days to go on the date of our review, a new custom stand is no longer realistic for this edition. Use the time to plan for the following edition: once dates are announced, starting four to six months ahead suits a machinery stand.

How many quotes will I receive through ExpoMatch?

We can't guarantee a specific number of quotes. We share your brief with stand builders suited to your project, and those who are interested contact you with their own proposals.
